Dorothy Kwok, of Framingham, suffered a brain aneurysm and died on Friday, June 2, leaving behind a loving husband and two children, according to a GoFundMe set up in her honor.

"Dorothy passed unexpectedly to the shock of all of us," reads a post on the Framingham Youth Lacrosse Facebook page. "She was the most kind, thoughtful and generous person and will be missed more than words can express."

In the wake of the family's devastation, Kwok's friend, Gevry Fontaine, created a GoFundMe campaign to help support the family financially.

"Dorothy was a kind, compassionate and generous friend," Fontaine wrote. "She was an amazing mom to her two kids and is going to be missed more than words can express."

The fundraiser surpassed its goal of $20,000 in less than a week.

"She was a wonderful, kind, and soft-spoken woman," wrote one donor. "Words cannot express the sorrow that I feel for her family and close friends. She was truly a wonderful person."

Kwok is remembered as a devoted mother to her children, Cameron and MacKenzie, and a beloved wife to her husband, Kevin.

"We spent the evening with the family and they are so grateful for all the support," Kwok's friend Fontaine wrote. "Kevin is so touched and humbled by the outpouring of love."
